From the Moon to Mars: The Next Giant Leap for All Mankind
Saturday, November 7, 2:00 – 3:00 pm
What’s next in humanity’s quest to explore the frontiers of space? In this special live session presented by Jason-Flor Sisante, M.S., Ph.D., and a NASA-JPL Solar System Ambassador, Village Without Walls will explore this question and much more. Dr. Sisante, who specializes in making science accessible to everyone, will speak about NASA’s plans to return to the moon and travel onwards to Mars.

Normal Aging vs Not Normal Aging.

This is an informal training/informational webinar with some discussion to it hosted by WLLO Village member, Suanne Jackson, who is a certified trainer of Positive Approach to Care curriculum.
We will watch a video of someone who is normally aging and a video of someone who is not normally aging, in the same scenario. Teepa Snow, an occupational therapist with forty years of clinical practice experience, is one of the world’s leading educators on dementia and the care that accompanies it. We will talk about the differences between them. Then we will look at the umbrella of Dementias, briefly mention some of the more common ones and talk about some conditions that can look like Dementia but are not.
